Bulk density

Homepage / Quality Management / Bulk density
infrarot-spektrometer

Bulk density

relies on the measurement of the transmission respectively the absorption of a sample that is irradiated with different wavelengths

01.

Description

02.

Application of testing procedures for

Thereby the measured variable is the proportion of the outgoing intensity to the incoming intensity after the transmission respectively absorption of the sample. The different molecule groups and chemical combinations of the sample are caused to oscillate at characteristic wavelengths of the infrared light. By measuring the progression of the transmission respectively the absorption of a defined wavelength range specific transmission or absorption bands can be matched to appropriate molecule groups and hence this result can be used for a structure determination of the sample. Usually the evaluation is simply done automatically by the comparison of the spectrum with an IR-database.

  • Rapid chemical characterisation and identification of thermoplastics
  • Comparative measurement of the chemical structure of thermoplastics
  • Comparative measurement of the chemical structure of oils and greases
  • Basic research
  • Materials development
  • Damage assessment
