These bushes are found in all the linkage parts of the brake linkages on freight wagon bogies, with the exception of brake block shoes, where the temperatures generated are too high for the use of thermoplastics. The key to achieving the desired performance is striking the right balance between a low friction coefficient and excellent wear-resistance in a dry-running application.
